From time to time there are special events held in Merentha. These events usually take place as a one day, or a weekend long quest type of adventure. Events will usually fall into one of two categories. They are either random events or story line events. What we like to call a random event is one which does not effect Merentha for any longer then the event lasts. For example a special Christmas time event where players must interact with Santa are a fun to take part in, but the next day there is no difference. On the other hand, a story line event is one which is based on Merentha folklore. They usually take the form of non-player characters (NPCs) attempting an invasion or a destruction of a city. These events are quests which must be solved. Although you could fight the invasion for hours there is usually a better way to end the invasion. Events are help during most holidays or whenever the immortals have time to create them.
